Overview of Contraband Police 

Contraband Police is an unusual but very interesting indie simulator in which you travel to a communist country in the 1980s and work as a border post commander. The game takes place in a newly formed country called Akaristan, following yet another revolution or war. You find yourself there as a border post commander, monitoring the border at entry and exit and tracking contraband. You'll have to catch smugglers at the border, ensure nothing gets past you unnoticed, conduct searches, and much more. In short, you definitely won't be bored. So, you're at the border, at your post, and now you'll have to work hard. Drivers in trucks and cars will regularly pass through your post, and any of them could be smuggling contraband.

Your task is to prevent this. But how exactly you do this, and what you do next, depends entirely on you, your ambitions, desires, and goals. For example, having found contraband, you can turn the driver over to the authorities, deny them entry, and more. At the same time, you can always try to profit from the smuggling yourself. Ask for a bribe, and who knows, maybe the driver will confess to smuggling contraband and give you the money, or just turn around and drive away.
