Overview of Watchmen Chapter 1

Watchmen Chapter 1 takes place while Rorschach and Night Owl II are fighting crime. They work as guards. They saw on the news that there had been a riot in Sing Sing prison. When they arrived there in confusion, they realized that it was a ruse to hide the runaway underboss. They return to the bar to find Ramrunner's bodyguard so they can question him about his escape. From there, they quickly learn that Jimmy Gimmick is the one who got out of jail. They took him to the park. He is interrogated, during which the Chief of Staff tries to kill Jimmy. The injured Jimmy tells them he's at Underboss's old well. From there, they would begin their journey toward justice.
